Upon graduation, collegiate membership can be transitioned to professional membership at a reduced rate. |
| Professional | More than 100 professional sections in the U.S. are available for women engineers. If no section is located nearby, you can join as a Member-at-Large. Professional membership is $100 annually. |
| Joint | Take advantage of a reduced joint membership rate when you join both SWE and one of these three professional organizations: The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). | Life |
Life membership is available with a donation of $2,000 to the SWE Endowment Fund Inc. - Headquarters Account. | Unemployed/Retired |

| Associate |
SWE membership is available for $100 annually to those who do not qualify for any other membership grade if one’s work is related to the practice or training of engineering, or the membership application is sponsored by a professional member. | K-12 Educator |
A special reduced membership rate of $20 is available to full-time K-12 educators. This discounted membership cannot be combined with any other membership discount. |
