The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women.  SWE empowers women to succeed and advance in those aspirations and be recognized for their life changing contributions and achievements as engineers and leaders. With your support, you can help carry on these goals and ensure that SWE continues to have the resources, talent and ability to deliver them.

Unrestricted Support
Unrestricted support provides funding for SWE's basic operations and programs. This includes everything from day-to-day operations to supporting existing programming and creating new initiatives. In addition, your contribution is tax-deductible and provides essential support for SWE’s top priority projects and programs.  SWE inspires young women to pursue a STEM education and career, provides professional development opportunities for women engineers, and acknowledges the achievements of our members while rallying the STEM community to become involved in expanding the field.

Program Support
SWE accomplishes its mission through several impactful programs, including interdisciplinary conferences, online and face-to-face learning programs, interactive electronic media, STEM outreach initiatives geared towards girls, and scholarships. You can choose to direct your contribution toward a specific program or designate your contribution as unrestricted, and SWE will utilize your support where it is most needed.

Types of Gifts
There are many ways to make a gift to SWE. Each one offers distinct benefits to you and to SWE—today and for years to come. 

Gifts of Cash
The simplest and fastest way to give to SWE is to write a check or to use your credit or debit card to make a gift on SWE’s secure online giving site.

Matching Gifts
If you or your spouse is employed by a matching gift company, your gift to SWE may be doubled or even tripled. Ask your employer if they are one of the many that matches employee donations to non-profit organizations.

Gifts of Securities
Gifts of securities, including stocks and bonds, to SWE may be made with minimal out-of-pocket costs, and when stock is transferred directly to SWE, you do not have to pay capital gains tax.  SWE highly recommends that donors consult with their own tax or legal advisor prior to making a gift of securities.

Other Beneficiary Designations
Donors may name SWE as a partial or total beneficiary on any life insurance policy, annuity, trust, IRA or similar instrument.

Planned Gifts
By making a planned gift to SWE, you can help ensure our resources for future generations of engineers. In recognition of your support, SWE will honor you as a member in our Halo Society. 

By naming SWE in your will or living trust, you can realize substantial tax savings while perpetuating your support of SWE into the future. Your donation will ensure that SWE continues to support the advancement of engineering as a desirable career for women. By thoughtfully remembering SWE, you can leave the legacy you wish for women in engineering.

You can bequeath a specific dollar amount or a portion of what remains after your obligations to others are fulfilled. You can designate your bequest to support SWE’s overall mission, where your contribution will be directed to where it is needed most or to a specific program.
